Etihad's 2026 Map Gained a Dozen Cities. Emirates Added One. Here Is What the Gap Means
Etihad Airways added roughly a dozen new or resumed destinations from Abu Dhabi in 2026, more than ten times the single new city Emirates launched from Dubai in the same year. The gap reflects two different growth strategies: Etihad chasing map coverage on a rebuilding fleet, Emirates deepening frequency on a network it already dominates.
