Dubai Metro Blue Line Hits First Major Construction Milestone as Tunnelling Wraps in Two Months
Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has completed the first tunnelling phase of the Dh20.5 billion Metro Blue Line in just two months, using a boring machine that weighs more than 2,000 tonnes. The 30km line will add 14 stations by 2029 and is expected to cut road congestion by 20 percent.
